William Safire has a good column ont he CBS bogus memo scandal. Mor eimportant than the specific content is the specific location it first appears: on the op—ed page of the New York Times.

Everyone Dan Rather and CBS management considers important reads the New York Times on paper every morning. They can no longer tough it out — their friends all know of their disgrace.
