Democrats' hypocrisy on public broadcasting
The hypocrisy of the left regarding public broadcasting: while demonizing CPB head Ken Tomlinson for wasting money when he hired consulatants to examine the issue of bias at CPB, the ruling powers—that—be have been doing the same (and much worse) with public money for years.
Not only have they spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on lobbyists, one of the highest paid lobbyist is a Carter—era Democrat married to the woman, Bettilou Taylor, who serves as the staff director of the Senate Appropriations subcommittee. Ms. Taylor used her influence to ambush Tomlinson during committee hearings and helped to torpedo efforts to rein in the abuse of taxpayer funds at the PBS.
