Yet again, a conservative speaker has been attacked speaking on a college campus. David Horowitz was assaulted with a pie shortly after he began speaking at Butler University in Indianapolis yesterday. Enduring the humiliation, he completed his speech.
Regrettably, although the attackers were pursued by students attending the lecture, they escaped.
It is long past time to start doling out severe criminal penalties for such attackers. There were many witnesses, so I hope the Indianapolis police will pursue them and catch them. I urge Horowitz to press charges to the full extent of the law. Hard time in prison and a a lifelong status as a felon will eventually teach others to respect freedom of speech.
