MSM now sees no crime in Plame link

By

The Wall Street Journal reveals (paid link) that 36 news organizations have filed a friend of the court brief in the case against Time Magazine's Matt Cooper and the New York Times' Judith Miller, who have refused to reveal their confidential sources. The brief takes the position that no crime was committed in revealing her name:

"There exists ample evidence on public record to cast serious doubt as to whether a crime has even been committed under the Intelligence Identities Protection Act. ... If in fact no crime under the Act has been committed, then any need to compel Miller and Cooper to reveal their confidential sources should  evaporate."
