No thought experiement needed
We heard from our friend Lastango at Daily Pundit that no thought experiment is necessary to compare the situation along Iraq's border with the current efforts of the Minuteman Project in Arizona. One month+ before we ran our item, he had the same idea, plus the facts on the "pop—up" militias the Iraqis already have used to accomplish the same ends as the Iraqis.
As Lastango noted at the time:
The Administration dislikes the one and has been silent about the other — partly because (as we explain) they both arise from the same uncomplementary immediate cause: the massive failure of our government to perform.
Daily Pundit scooped us. Plain and simple. And not even close. Obviously, a daily must—read.
