The party of Lynne Stewart?

Lynne Stewart is a registered Democrat. As Rocco DiPippo demonstrates today on this site, her belief in the perfectability of man through political means has led her to embrace the death cult of Islamist terror, not just as a legal representative, but as an illegal adjunct to terror. Is it fair to tar the Democrats as the party of Lynne Stewart?

The New York Sun today publishes a short editorial on the subject. They note the sort of web pages linked directly to the Dean—led DNC's official website. I think the larger question relates to the teleological dimension: has the Democratic Party embraced a philosophy of seeking prefection (or redemption) of man through politics? If the answer is yes, then it is in danger of becoming a religion, not a political movement.
