Answer? Legalize millions of immigrants who, beholden to Obama and his party, will presumably reward them at the polls for having a clear path to being legalized. That is the plan as outlined by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

 Declaring success in border security and immigration enforcement, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Friday that the federal government has done its work and now it's time for Congress to pass a broad bill to legalize illegal immigrants.

Her speech signals President Obama will make good on his promise to push Congress to pass an immigration bill next year - adding yet another hot-button issue to an already long and contentious list.

The possibility of illegal immigrants being able to take advantage of health care reform bills has been frustrated by Congressmen insisting that language be placed in the various bills that would ban the them from getting government insurance. Before it became a hot button issue, there were loopholes that would have been used by illegal immigrants to get benefits under the health care reform bills.

By legalizing millions of immigrants, they would be then eligible to use the wide variety of services, drugs, hospitals, and medical equipment that would become available to them as legal immigrants. That will just place further demands on an over-stretched health care system. Waiting times will expand, doctors and nurses will be in short supply. Furthermore, more job openings will be available to the newly legalized immigrants - a fact that will not help employment rates for others seeking jobs.

But it might prove the trick for Democratic Congressmen and a President who want to keep theirs.
