Say what you will about Obamacare and the balance of the turgid Democrat legistlative agenda, for all the anger and frustration it has caused Americans, revulsion at the Pelosian pinko policy proposals of 2009 continues to serve as an emetic for Congress. The latest and largest specimento be purged from the 2010 election races is Patrick Kennedy,(D-Rhode Island).

It was just 5 days ago that the hindmost nationally elected Kennedy was calling the election of Scott Brown in Massachusetts, "a Joke."

Looks like the joke is on Kennedy. Once he departs, the U.S. Congress will be without a Kennedy for the first time since 1947.

The troubled legislator would like us to believe his decision to pack it in is based upon
some "personal struggles," mostly romantic pining over the death of his father, Teddy, the legend of Chappaquidick. The real reason for theKennedy bail-out is abysmal poll numbers:

"A February 2010 poll commissioned by WPRI TV 12 in Providence indicated Kennedy's support was weak entering his expected re-election campaign, as 56% of 1st District voters viewed him unfavorably and only 35% said they would vote to re-elect Kennedy." 

A self-serving 2 minute ad to be aired on Sunday evening has Patrick suggesting that his
"life is taking a new direction." What a co-incidence! America is clearly taking a new
direction too, as the long silent conservative majority awakens and proceeds to jettison the
liberals who pandered their way into power on the false promises of political correctness and idiot compassion.
