Another terrorist sting operation catches would-be bomber
Just a reminder that we're still at risk:
A Baltimore man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a plot to blow up an Armed Forces recruiting center in Catonsville, Md., a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office confirmed.
The man, identified by ABC News as Antonio Martinez, aka Muhammad Hussain, planned to attack the center "with what he believed to be vehicle bomb," according to the spokesperson, Marcia Murphy."There was no actual danger to the public as the explosives were inert and the suspect had been carefully monitored by law enforcement for months," Murphy added.
She also said "[t]here is no evidence this individual is tied to the recent shootings at military recruiting centers in the Washington, D.C. metro area. "
Law enforcement sources described Martinez as a Muslim convert who was angry at the U.S. military for what he considered a war on Muslims.
First Portland, now Baltimore. The FBI seems to be having some success targeting those who are willing to go ahead with a terrorist attack. But it begs the question; who are they missing?
