Parents proud of their murderous children
Responding to the joyous reactions from the Muslim world of the abduction and subsequent brutal murder of three young teenagers in Israel, Bret Stephens of the Wall Street Journal asked, "Where are the Palestinian Mothers?"
Where he found them is disturbing. And telling. Here is the response of a mother, whose retarded young son strapped on a suicide vest ten years ago with the intention of killing as many Israelis possible along with himself. Why? A promise of those 72 virgins awaiting him in heaven after his death.
Yet asked how she would have felt if her son had been a bit older, she added this: "If he was over 18, that would have been possible, and I might have even encouraged him to do it." In the West, most mothers would be relieved if their children merely refrained from getting a bad tattoo before turning 18.
But this isn't "the West," it is the Muslim world.
In the ten years since that incident, things haven't changed. The parents--mother and father--of one of the accused in the murders of the three Israelis are equally proud according to Israel National News.
"If he did the kidnapping I'll be proud of him. I raised my children on the knees of the (Islamic) religion, they are religious guys, honest and clean-handed, and their goal is to bring the victory of Islam," continued Abu-Eisha's mother.
"Honest and clean-handed"...and "raised on the knees of" Islam; thus they are good Muslims according to the proud mother.
His father is equally delighted, blaming the Israelis for his son's presumed actions.
Nevertheless, Omar insisted "the story of the abduction isn't logical. I don't believe all that. Whether he was arrested by soldiers or became a martyr, it's the fault of the Israelis in any case. Now it's in G-d's hands, I can only pray in the meantime."
This attitude is common, pervading the Muslim world. The Gateway Pundit posted pictures of joyful Muslim children with their three fingered salute, celebrating the deaths of three murdered Israelis. The juxtaposition of young children honoring brutal murder, all with the encouragement of their hate filled parents and teachers is jarring; there can be no peace with people like that.

As Bret Stephens concluded, "A culture that celebrates kidnapping is not fit for statehood."
Or much else.
