Folks, our Conservative Campaign Committee team is still in Nevada campaigning for Ted Cruz.  Despite free coffee in our hotel room, my wife Mary wanted Starbucks (with heavy whipping cream).  I stood in the long line reflecting on Rubio's extremely close second-place finish over Cruz in the South Carolina primary.

Trump conservatives have been verbally beating me up pretty good for supporting Ted Cruz.  Frankly, it rolls off my back – not because I am arrogant, but because I know I am right.  My goal is to be God's man in politics.  When my choice is to please God or man, you do the math.

Most conservative Trump supporters are suffering from Battered Conservative Syndrome, rallying behind the GOP candidate they believe can win the White House.  If Trump wins the nomination, you will see me on street corners waving signs: “Donald Trump, He's Our Man – If He Can't Do It, No One Can!”

Any GOP contender in the W.H. is better than a Democrat.  Their party has been overtaken by anti-God and anti-America socialists, committed to transforming America from the land of individual freedom and liberty envisioned by our founding fathers.

But folks, I gotta tell ya: as conservatives, you are neither naive nor stupid.  You already know the pros and cons of a Trump presidency.  Trump will probably stay true to his promise to secure our borders and make deals benefiting the U.S. economy.

My concern is Trump's lack of an ideological core regarding social issues.  Trump praised Planned Parenthood, which is nothing more than an abortion factory and dead-baby-body-parts chop shop.  A few days after praising PP, Trump promised to sign a bill to defund PP.  Are we supposed to believe that Trump just learned who these evil people at PP are? 

Trump does not appear to care either way regarding social issues such as same-sex marriage.

I see you Trump people's hands rising to slap me.  Ouch!  I am sorry, folks, but social issues determine who we are as a nation.

In the 1830s, French statesman, historian, and social philosopher Alexis de Tocqueville traveled to America to discover the reason for the incredible success of our new nation.

Tocqueville wrote:

Upon my arrival in the United States the religious aspect of the country was the first thing that struck my attention; and the longer I stayed there, the more I perceived the great political consequences resulting from the new state of things.

America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.

Brother and sister patriots who support Trump, I know you love our country with all your hearts.  This explains your passion and desperation to save her.  My faith and trust in God tell me we need a president who will make America great via making her “good” again.

This is why I am all in for Ted Cruz.
