Don't give up on Spain

Franco Aleman, Barcepundit, is live—blogging a huge demonstration in Madrid (via satellite TV in Barcelona). Between 850,000 and a million demonstrators are protesting the Zapatero government's announced intention to negotiate with Basque separatist ETA terrorists.

Spain, the home of machismo, should not be involved in appeasing terrorists. The Aznar government came to power with that intention. But perhaps the Spanish are waking up to the futility of that course.
