For blacks only

By

John Kerry seemingly talks about religion only in front of black audiences. The Washington Post pointed this out in a front—page story which was subtitled "Candidate Usually Talks about Religion Before Black Audiences Only".

This practice is very condescending and perhaps racist towards blacks and cynical for Kerry ——whose politics are staunchly secularist.

Now he trots out the Bible again before another black audience and invokes the anti—Christ to depict George Bush. Before a black Baptist audience he warned blacks to "beware of false prophets which come to you in sheep's clothing." This imagery is theologically associated with the anti—Christ. It is disgraceful and disturbing to hear a candidate speak using such religiously—loaded code words. Isn't this what the secular critics of George Bush complain about regarding his speeches?
