Intellectuals and politics

By

An Australian scholar, Imre Salusinszky, has written a wonderful short essay in The Australian, Rupert Murdoch's left—leaning national—circulation daily in Australia. Using popular criticisms of George W. Bush as an intellectual boob as a starting point, he diagnoses the problems with intellectuals as political leaders.

In its economy of words and readability, this is a remarkable essay. In its underlying wisdom, it is a gem. Read it.
