The ACLU way

By

Presumably the ACLU would be very happy is the United States behaved more like Spain in its treatment of al Qaeda suspects:

Spain freed on bail an alleged member of al—Qaida accused of videotaping the World Trade Center and other targets before the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Syrian—born Ghasoub Al Abrash Ghalyoun was freed after posting a 50,000 euro ($61,000) bail.

Ghalyoun is among the 24 suspects being tried by Spain in Europe's largest terror trial.

The notion that petrodollar—rich terrorists would be constrained by the loss of a middling bail is utter insanity. Only Europeans or the ACLU would believe it.
