The real Marla Ruzicka

Whew!  Thanks, Debbie Schlussel! I too was wary of all the accolades to Marla Ruzicka, another  suicide bombing victim, wondering if there were more to the latest martyr.  Apparently so. 
 
And why was her record of anti—Americanism glossed over?  Was it because she was female? Young? Blonde? An "activist" rather than a soldier?  Or a combination of all of the above, so that few of the respectful obituaries questioned her motives for her presence in Iraq now; fewer still thoroughly analyzed her past activist biography and her present affiliations?
 
Oh sure, Ruzicka had the right to her activities and in this case she suffered the consequences.  The responsibility was hers.
