Threats to the U.K.

Today's page one of The Independent is wall to wall bad news about the UK's abuses of Mum Nature. But nowhere in all the bad stats is any mention of the relative increases in population that add to those dire forecasts. Since his death we've all heard an awful lot of talk about how the Pope's stance on sexual abstinence contributed to the spread of AIDS. Instead of a change in the Catholic church's position on sex, maybe Greenpeace should start handing out free biodegradable condoms!
