What's really wrong with liberals?

Mac Johnson has a wonderfully sardonic and accurate article on the problems liberals have with ordinary folks. The party of elitists and special interests has been losing mainstream support for decades, and now may well be at a tipping point.

One of Johnson's principal points is that Democrats are so good at the technique of politics that they have lost all contact with the actual substance of issues. They live in a dream world where being for minimum wage laws means that poor people owe their loyalty to Democrats, nevermind the job—destroying character and general irrelevance of minimum wage laws (except to unions which tie certain contracts to a specified level above minimum wage).
