Wishful thinking

Hugh Fitzgerald of Jihad Watch takes on the recent pronouncements of Secretary of State Rice on the evolution of the Muslim world. Although we are great fans of Secretary Rice, he has caught her making unsupportably optimistic statements, out—of—touch with the Islamic scriptures and the history of Islam.

But who ever said that it is the job of a diplomat to speak the brutal truth?
