The debates, USMCA, and climate change

In their January 14 debate, all the Dems said the USMCA was marginally better than NAFTA (that alone gives me pause, if these characters praise it in any way), but Bernie (maybe others too, I forget) said he would not sign it because it doesn't mention climate change.  So it's the whole cake or none, eh, Bernie? Just for fun, I looked up how much carbon each country on Earth releases annually.  Turns out Canada and Mexico combined released just 3% of the world's total in 2017.  Can Bernie be that stupid?  (Of course he can, though he probably knows that those countries are a minuscule part of the "problem.")  But this isn't about Canada or Mexico.  Rather, it's about putting another arrow in the Dems' quiver to fire against the U.S.  The U.S. emitted 13.77% of the world's carbon in 2017, up only 0.4% since 1990.  Mexico emitted nearly 75% more carbon in 2017 than...(Read Full Post)
